Donation provides online resources for K-12 students
First National Community Bank (FNCB), the largest community bank in Northeastern Pennsylvania, today announced a $2500 donation to the Wayne County Public Library as part of its $181,000 Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) commitment for 2013.
The donation will help the library support their Careers without College and Homework Help programs.
"FNCB's donation will help students have access to online resources, especially those who don’t have transportation to the library," said Diane Abbott, FNCB Honesdale Route 6 Community Office Manager. "We provide the latest technology to our customers allowing them to bank anywhere, anytime. In much the same manner, these innovative programs allow students to use the library 24/7."
The support of the Wayne County Public Library represents part of FNCB's larger Community Caring initiative. Through outreach programs, donations and an employee volunteer network, FNCB is committed to helping the communities they serve.
Founded in 1910, FNCB supports its mission: Simply a better bank™ with an endless commitment to the communities they serve. FNCB is the largest community bank in Northeastern Pennsylvania leading the way in personal, small business and commercial banking solutions. For more information, visit www.fncb.com
