Students Putting Finishing Touches on Komen NEPA Community Goes Pink Entry
The Komen NEPA Community Goes Pink Challenge encourages businesses to decorate with a pink theme to raise
awareness about breast cancer as part of the September 21st Race for the Cure. FNCB's entry includes pink signage
and bunting along with large banners featuring the messages Love, Faith, Care and Hope at their 419 Spruce St.
The junior students are adding the final touches by painting past t-shirt designs on the first floor windows.
"Many downtown workers and visitors over the next two weeks plus thousands of race participants will pass in front of
our building," said FNCB Regional Manager Eileen Farber-Bonk. "We have taken up
the challenge to decorate as a simple, but powerful reminder that we must do
everything we can to help eliminate this disease. With the help of the Riverside
students we are creating a message of hope and support."
