Grant helps Pre-Kindergarten programs
First National Community Bank (FNCB), the largest community bank in Northeastern Pennsylvania, today announced an Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) grant to the United Way of Lackawanna and Wayne Counties.
The donation will help the United Way provide scholarships for children age 3-5 from income eligible families to attend a pre-approved, quality preschool program. Last year the United Way, through an EITC donation from FNCB, was able to provide this assistance to numerous children in our community.
"The United Way is committed to ensuring all children in our region have the best chance for success in school and throughout their lives," noted Nikki Keller, vice president of community impact marketing for the United Way of Lackawanna and Wayne Counties. "We are grateful to First National Community Bank for their support of this vital program," she added.
The support of the United Way of Lackawanna and Wayne Counties represents part of FNCB’s larger Community Caring initiative. Through outreach programs, donations and an employee volunteer network, FNCB is committed to helping the communities they serve.
