Employee dress down day benefits Luzerne County Head Start
First National Community Bank (FNCB), the largest community bank in Northeastern Pennsylvania, recently raised almost $600 for the Luzerne County Head Start program through a bank-wide ‘Masters Friday’ employee dress down day.
On day two of the 2013 Masters Tournament, employees were encouraged to replace their traditional banker’s attire in favor of jeans and golf shirts — all for a small donation.
“Our employees take great pride in helping our community,” said Senior Vice President, Human Resources Officer Donald Ryan. “This was a fun way to help a wonderful organization.”
Head Start is an early childhood development school readiness and family support program for children from birth to school age, their families, and pregnant women in Luzerne and Wyoming Counties.
Masters Friday represents part of FNCB’s larger Community Caring initiative. Through outreach programs, donations and an employee volunteer network, FNCB is committed to helping the communities they serve.
