HARRISBURG, PA-William S. Lance, Executive Vice President of First National Community, Dunmore, has been elected to the Pennsylvania Bankers Association (PBA) Board of Directors. Mr. Lance represents Group 3 on the Board which consists of banks located in fourteen counties in Northeastern PA. The Board of Directors, which includes PBA's officers, will meet at least quarterly to determine the policies and administration of the Association. Members of the Board are senior level officers of PBA member banks.
Mr. Lance will serve a 2-year term starting July 1st. Mr. Lance joined First National Community Bank in 1991 after eleven years of service with another local financial institution. As Finance Division Manager, he oversees various accounting related functions such as financial reporting and budgeting, investments and cash management. He resides in Scranton with his wife, Mary, and two children.
The Pennsylvania Bankers Association, located in Harrisburg, is the state's major banking trade association representing an expansive and diverse membership. The Association offers extensive continuing education programs, government relations representation on behalf of the industry, and provides numerous products and services for banks and their employees.
