Employees from FNCB Bank, locally based for more than 100 years, recently donated $1,000 in groceries and over 250 gifts to nine local families as part of the Bank’s “Adopt-A-Family” holiday project.
More than 200 FNCB staff members participated this year in Adopt-a-Family, the Bank’s signature holiday gift-giving event. The program matches local families in need from the Catherine McAuley Centers and Children and Youth Services of Wayne County with those wishing to donate.
Since launching the program four years ago, 40 families have been matched.
“Thanks to the generosity of the entire FNCB team, we helped make a direct impact on the lives of many families,” said Amanda Reyes, Staff Accountant/Project Coordinator. “It’s a wonderful feeling to make the holiday season a little brighter for so many deserving kids and adults.”
The Adopt-a-Family project is part of FNCB’s larger Community Caring initiative. As a true, local community bank, FNCB is making a difference through volunteerism, donations and outreach programs.
