FNCB Bank, locally-based for over 100 years, announced today they will be hosting a free FBI cyber security seminar for local schools, government agencies and non-profits on Thursday, September 28 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hilton Downtown Scranton Hotel and Conference Center.
The seminar, “Cyber Security: Are You at Risk,” will be led by Ben Stone, Supervisory Special Agent Cyber 2 and Darin Murphy, Supervisory Special Agent Cyber 2 from the FBI Philadelphia office.
"From the national retailer data breaches to the most recent Equifax breach, cyber criminals are getting more sophisticated and daring in their attempts to steal consumer information and commit fraud,” said Ronald Honick, FNCB Bank Senior Vice President, Operations & Technology Services Officer. “As a community service, we are bringing in experts from the FBI to help inform local schools, government agencies and non-profits of the current threats and ways to prevent future attacks.”
