As a true, local community bank, FNCB is making a difference through volunteerism, donations and outreach programs.in 1986 to provide Thanksgiving dinner baskets to needy families in the community. In its first year, 640 baskets were given out - now over 3,000 are distributed annually feeding approximately 15,000 people. Over the years, more than 300,000 people have been served thanks to the generosity of families and businesses in the community.
FNCB Bank’s fundraising effort encourages employees bank-wide to make a small donation in exchange for the opportunity to wear jeans to work. Family to Family was nominated by Darlene Pusateri, FNCB Compliance Manager.
“I nominated Family to Family because it is sad to know that there are families out there in our community, especially children, who don’t know what it is like to have Thanksgiving dinner with their family, something we take for granted,” said Pusateri. “Supporting Family to Family is a great way to show gratitude for our blessings and to make our day more meaningful.”
