FNCB Bank, locally-based for over 100 years, recently presented representatives from Habitat for Humanity Wayne County with a $738.00 donation raised through a bank wide “Jeans for a Cause” dress down day in June.
Habitat for Humanity of Wayne County helps deserving families become home owners using volunteer labor and donations. The FNCB donation will help build homes for qualified low-income partner families.
“Habitat for Humanity of Wayne County provides an invaluable service in our community and we are happy to play a small part in their mission,” said Ellen Pritchard, FNCB Honesdale Community Office Manager. “It’s a great feeling to know we’re part of something bigger that’s so important to the community.”

The fundraising effort encouraged employees bank-wide to make a small donation in exchange for the opportunity to wear jeans to work. FNCB provided a corporate match of all donations collected.
