FNCB Bank, locally-based for 110 years, recently presented a check for $670.00 to the Voluntary Service Office at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center raised through a bank wide “Jeans for a Cause” dress down day. The Voluntary Service Office at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center supports veterans in need by providing them with clothing, home items, hygiene items, food and gas gift cards plus a variety of other goods and services. FNCB’s monthly fundraising effort encourages employees to make small donations in exchange for the opportunity to wear jeans to work. All employee donations are matched dollar for dollar by the bank. Since launching the Jeans for a Cause program, FNCB employees have raised $55,144 for local non-profit organizations.
