FNCB Bank, locally-based for 110 years, recently presented a check for $480.70 to the Dunmore Historical Society raised through a bank wide “Jeans for a Cause” dress down day. The Dunmore Historical Society’s mission is to collect, preserve, and interpret the artifacts, archives, and bibliographic materials of the history of the Borough of Dunmore. FNCB’s monthly fundraising effort encourages employees to make small donations in exchange for the opportunity to wear jeans to work. All employee donations are matched dollar for dollar by the bank. Since launching the Jeans for a Cause program, FNCB employees have raised $55,144 for local non-profit organizations.
